Dr. Rushi Deshpande

"He has worked in Nephrology for 8 years. During his subspecialty training, He did rotational postings inwards, outpatients, consultation services, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and renal transplant services. He has been trained in the management of patients with various renal problems such as acute renal failure, chronic renal failure, hypertension, nephrotic syndrome, nephritic syndrome, acid-base and electrolyte disorders, CAPD and transplant patients. He has been exposed to routine and emergency management of patients admitted in other specialties with associated renal problems. He has also been trained in the management of all renal emergencies. As a dialysis resident, He gained experience in managing patients on hemodialysis, continuous renal replacement therapy in the ICU setting, plasmapheresis and peritoneal dialysis. He has also independently performed kidney biopsies and insertion of hemodialysis vascular access (femoral and jugular catheterization and arterio-venous fistula procedures).
